Some people say Plano is built out…

But the truth is Plano still has tons to offer !

Here are just a few of my goals:

Revitalize struggling areas of the city by finding new and innovative ways to encourage new development.

Protect home values by enforcing maximum occupancy rules, increasing code enforcement of deteriorating properties along major thoroughfares, and keep Plano a great place to live.

Encourage more citizen input by instituting online feedback forms for board and commissions so that citizens can participate in the decision making process easily and conveniently.

Build another library east of Jupiter Road. We need one!

Improve DART by limiting access to parking lots along DART Rail lines to Plano residents only - charge a fee for riders outside Plano to use our lots. Clean up industrial yards along the DART Rail.

Keep taxes low by making sure every taxpayer is getting the most bang for their buck.  Cut spending where its logical and never raise taxes for seniors

My promise to citizens:

No political stunts. I’ll win some and lose some. I’ll pick my battles, fight hard, vote my conscience, and move on.

Seriously listen to every person who shares the opinion with the council.

Admit mistakes and learn from them.

Study the issues and come to meetings prepared and with an open mind.

Position Statement on Hot Topics

Art Center of Collin County - I favor the idea of an art complex for Plano. However, I oppose additional public funds being spent unless: 1) Additional funds are approved by the citizens in an election, and 2) There is a guaranteed maximum price provided by the general contractor.

Budget Issues - I believe that the most important services we should offer to Plano citizens is a great police and fire department and good roads. With current budget concerns, I still oppose a tax increase and will never vote to increase taxes for senior citizens. We may have to make tough decisions, but our goal should be having more people paying taxes, not the same people paying more taxes.

Fences at Public Parks - I oppose any attempt to build a virtual or actual fence restricting any citizen's ability to enjoy reasonable access to city parks.
